Internship Opportunity in IT and Data Infrastructure

EUMETSAT offers an exciting internship opportunity in IT and Data Infrastructure, providing a unique chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and gain hands-on experience in monitoring and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and configure the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) for a Near Real Time System at EUMETSAT.
  • Design and implement Logstash pipelines for data ingestion and processing.
  • Create and customize Kibana dashboards for visualization and monitoring of system metrics.
  • Study and understand the ELK stack components and their functions.
  • Study and understand the Multi-mission Ingestion and File Dissemination (MFID) System for Near-Real Time meteorological data dissemination.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and programming.
  • Ability to work effectively in English.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Intrinsic motivation and curiosity about the internship subject.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to take the initiative in researching ideas.
  • Ability to collect, collate, conceptualize, and present information clearly.
What We Offer

EUMETSAT provides a daily allowance and contribution to travel and accommodation costs. Interns are responsible for providing their own health and accident insurance and finding their own accommodation in Darmstadt.
