Assistant Professor Position at the Chair of Multilingual Computational Linguistics

We are seeking an Assistant Professor to join our team at the Chair of Multilingual Computational Linguistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching classes on multilingual computational linguistics, conducting research, and assisting in building the chair's teaching portfolio.
Responsibilities and Requirements
* Teach classes on multilingual computational linguistics (5 contact teaching hours per week during the semester)
* Conduct research on relevant topics of multilingual computational linguistics, with a special focus in psycholinguistics, cognitive science, computational linguistics, linguistic typology or historical linguistics
* Assist the chair in building its teaching portfolio
* Assist and supervise colleagues at the chair and other collaborating chairs on matters of research (organize workshops, train up student assistants)
Qualifications and Skills
* Doctorate in computer science, computational linguistics or general linguistics/comparative linguistics
* Extended knowledge in empirical research with a focus on cross-linguistic approaches
* Good programming skills, specifically in Python
* Ability to advise students and colleagues on programming questions and to organize regular courses
* Very good knowledge of spoken and written English and German
