As a Cloud-Based IT Solutions Architect at Düsseldorf Airport, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge IT solutions that drive business growth and efficiency. Your expertise in cloud-based technologies, such as Kubernetes, will enable you to create scalable and secure architectures that meet the needs of our dynamic airport environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will design and review solution architectures for IT projects, ensuring they align with our business objectives and technical requirements.
  • You will create and maintain a technology map that lists all IT technologies used and defines target IT technologies, including native cloud services.
  • You will define the technology lifecycle and implement cloud-based Kubernetes services, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
  • You will work closely with our IT governance team to support the creation of a FinOps concept, providing transparency over cloud operations costs and low-code platforms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, or Software Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a developer or system architect, ideally with Java-based development experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of software and integration patterns, as well as development experience in Java and frameworks such as SpringBoot, Angular/React.
  • Knowledge in the development and specification of IT interfaces based on common web, connectivity, and messaging standards/protocols, as well as architectural patterns such as XML, JSON, etc.
  • Experience in implementing and working with cloud service-based Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS).
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Clear customer orientation, entrepreneurial, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication skills, as well as an obliging and confident appearance.
