Transform Cybersecurity Capabilities at METRO AG

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of cybersecurity at METRO AG. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Lead to join our team and contribute to the development and strengthening of our entire department.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to design, implement, and maintain METRO AG's IT and Network infrastructure with a focus on security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance, enhance security measures, and implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, architect, and formulate designs for Network & Edge security technologies, including micro-segmentation, zero-trust, access, security mechanisms, third-party access, SLA, backup, monitoring, etc.
  • Offer tools and technology to facilitate the effective operation of the Network Edge security framework, such as SD-WAN, SWG, CASB, FWaaS, Intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), etc.
  • Design and implement system hardening to minimize security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive patch management strategy to ensure systems are up to date with the latest security patches.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Firewall Management Process and Policies.
  • Oversee intrusion detection and prevention systems to proactively identify and mitigate threats.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive backup/redundant plan for different data storages, systems.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Degree related to information security, cybersecurity, or relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in firewall management process and policies, information security and cybersecurity.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of technical information security measures including Application Security, Cloud Security, and Security Automation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Experience aligning technical measures with regulatory requirements, especially GDPR.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Innovative Mindset: Proven ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in information security and cybersecurity.

Please note that all job opportunities at METRO AG require that you live in/move to Germany and can be in office in Düsseldorf at least 2 times per week. We don't offer 100% remote opportunities.
