Lead Cybersecurity Advisor

We are seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Advisor for Zync, a rapidly expanding firm specializing in enhancing the effectiveness of clients' information technology systems. Our team comprises seasoned professionals with extensive backgrounds in cybersecurity, having contributed to numerous projects across large-scale international enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients in pinpointing vulnerabilities in IT security and identifying areas for improvement in IT compliance, particularly in:

Establishing a robust Information Security Management System (ISMS)

Implementing necessary regulatory frameworks, including those mandated by BaFin (BAIT)

Introducing and overseeing IT security measures

  • Formulating and articulating requirements, advancements, and strategies in IT compliance and security
  • Collaborating within small consulting teams to deliver value through enhanced IT security and compliance
  • Innovating and launching new consulting initiatives in IT compliance and security

This position offers remote work flexibility from anywhere in Germany, with approximately 10% travel to client locations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant academic background, such as Computer Science, Information Security, or Physics
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT Security and Compliance consulting
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz standards
  • Proficiency in German (C1 level) and fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, BSI IT-Grundschutz, etc.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements like BAIT, NIST, or others
