Strategic Procurement Lead

Job Overview

In this role, you will serve as the primary contact for all procurement-related activities associated with projects. Your responsibilities will encompass managing the procurement lifecycle from initial qualification through to contract finalization, engaging in negotiations that secure advantageous terms for BakerHicks and its clientele. You will ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols, provide support for on-site initiatives as necessary, and foster effective communication with vendors and contractors. Additionally, you will oversee the timely delivery of orders and service agreements, with travel to project locations within the DACH region being a key aspect of the position.

Candidate Profile

We seek an individual with a strong commercial background and proven experience in the procurement of construction services. A background as a procurement manager within the Pharma/Life Sciences sector is essential, along with a solid understanding of legal frameworks governing large-scale construction endeavors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, possessing diplomatic skills, leadership qualities, and fluency in both German and English. Flexibility, a readiness to work overtime, and a willingness to travel are critical for success in this position.

Travel Requirements

Projects typically span from 6 to 24 months, with the primary work location being at the client's project site. Remote work arrangements may be possible with prior project management approval. This role provides the opportunity to engage with diverse clients and technologies, travel to various cities, and return home on weekends.
