Job Overview

As a key player in our procurement team, you will serve as the primary contact for all procurement-related activities associated with projects. Your responsibilities will encompass managing the procurement lifecycle from initial qualifications through to contract finalization, engaging in negotiations that favor BakerHicks and its clients, and ensuring adherence to quality assurance protocols. You will also provide support for on-site projects when necessary and maintain effective communication with suppliers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of orders and service contracts.
- Conduct contract negotiations and manage tender processes.
- Collaborate with project teams to support procurement needs on-site.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations for large-scale construction projects.
- Maintain efficient communication with all stakeholders involved in the procurement process.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking an individual with a strong commercial background and substantial experience in procuring construction services. A proven track record as a procurement manager within the Pharma/Life Sciences sector is essential, along with a solid understanding of legal frameworks governing large construction projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and fluency in both German and English. Flexibility, readiness to work overtime, and willingness to travel are critical attributes for success in this role.

Travel Requirements

Projects generally span from 6 to 24 months, primarily located at client project sites. Remote work arrangements may be available with project management approval. This role offers the chance to engage with diverse clients and technologies, travel to various locations, and return home on weekends.
