Contract Management and Governance Excellence Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Contracting and Process Excellence Lead to join our team at CSL Behring. As a key member of our Enterprise Contracting Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring our contracts comply with legal requirements, are enterprise-wide harmonized, and optimized for efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of legal contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal standards.
  • Analyze contract terms and conditions to identify areas for improvement and optimization, and develop strategies to implement best practices and automation tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, commercial, business, and procurement, to establish an Agile governance framework for Contracting services that ensures contracts align with corporate governance standards and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance overall productivity, and implement process optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of contract-related activities, including approvals, amendments, and terminations, and prepare reports and presentations summarizing contract performance, compliance status, and optimization efforts.
  • Assess potential risks associated with contract terms and propose mitigation strategies to safeguard the interests of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or certification in Contract Management or Legal Studies preferred.
  • Additional qualification in auditing, process optimization and simplification, contract law or pharmaceutical law a plus.
  • Experience with contract management, contract analysis, or related legal field.
  • Experience with contract law, corporate governance principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and identify areas for improvement.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Focus on accuracy while envisioning the big picture.
  • Work as a team-player and independently.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry preferred.
