About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Web Application Developer to join our team at Raylytic GmbH. As a senior web developer, you will have the exciting opportunity to architect and deliver high-quality software components that comprise our enterprise application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex requirements and break them down into units of work, estimating the level of effort required to implement them.
  • Design and implement own software, evaluating and integrating 3rd party libraries and frameworks to increase robustness and reduce overall development time.
  • Develop and maintain web applications using React or Angular.
  • Define and adhere to best-practices related to architecture, security, testing, and coding standards, collaborating with other senior team members.
  • Ensure software meets all quality, security, scalability, and performance requirements through adequate testing and metrics, and continuous improvement of our CI-CD pipeline.
  • Mentor and guide team members on best practices and framework-specific development.
Requirements
  • Degree/certification in Software Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in developing web-based applications.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in software development using JavaScript/Typescript and NodeJS.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with front-end.
  • Strong understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of both, React and Angular.
  • Experience in evaluating technical trade-offs and making informed decisions.
  • Fluency in English and/or German language with residence in Germany.
Desired Skills and Capabilities
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development using React, Angular, NodeJS, and common RDBMS such as PostgreSQL.
  • 1+ years of experience developing software products in a Research & Development department of a software company.
  • Interest or experience with browser-based visualization of medical images and related frameworks like Cornerstone and the DICOM standard.
  • Experience developing enterprise-grade software in regulated environments, like life-sciences.
  • Familiarity with healthcare informatics and related standards, like HL7 or FHIR.
