Role OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned and enthusiastic Director of Product Analytics to address complex challenges from both business and user perspectives, enhance processes and tools, and promote data excellence throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive product analytics strategy that aligns with organizational objectives, ensuring adherence to best practices in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Advocate for a data-centric culture within the organization, emphasizing the importance of data in decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts, cultivating a collaborative and high-performance atmosphere.
- Provide professional development opportunities to team members, supporting their skill enhancement and career growth.
- Supervise the collection, analysis, and interpretation of product and user data to derive actionable insights.
- Collaborate with product management to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product performance and user engagement.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that data insights are effectively integrated into product strategy and development.
- Partner with the data engineering team to guarantee the availability and integrity of data required for analytics.
- Oversee the implementation and utilization of analytics tools, ensuring they fulfill organizational needs.
- Streamline processes for data requests and insights delivery to enhance efficiency.
- Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to assess product modifications, ensuring rigorous statistical evaluation of results.
- Collaborate with User Experience Research to merge insights from qualitative and quantitative research, providing a comprehensive understanding of user behavior.
- Establish benchmarks for product performance in comparison to industry standards and competitors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science).
- Proven experience in a senior analytics role, ideally within a B2C or marketplace context.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage data analytics teams, with a history of developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Metabase).
- Strong grasp of data infrastructure, governance, and engineering concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
- In-depth understanding of B2C marketplace dynamics, user behaviors, and product lifecycles.
- Ability to align analytics initiatives with business objectives.
