Role Overview:

The Financial Planning position plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis. This role is integral to the Annual Planning (Budget) process, forecasts, and Latest Estimate (LE) activities, focusing on capital expenditures, headcount, and operational expense planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the preparation and distribution of precise monthly management reports, encompassing financial statements and functional expense analyses, along with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the Annual Planning (Budget) and forecasting processes, ensuring proactive engagement in budgeting and planning for capital expenditures, workforce planning, and operational expenses.
  • Conduct thorough analyses during the month-end closing process.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and provide comprehensive insights to management.
  • Deliver financial assessments to aid in tactical and strategic decision-making, including business case development and cost analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with departments such as Manufacturing and Marketing to enhance integrated planning processes.
  • Oversee accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, and financial activities for the product engineering center.
  • Create financial presentations for management and other stakeholders as required.
  • Address complex issues that necessitate detailed evaluation of various factors.
  • Exercise discretion in selecting methodologies and evaluation criteria to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Determine approaches and procedures for new assignments and may coordinate activities of other team members.
  • Engage with key contacts outside of the immediate area of expertise.
  • Assist colleagues with intricate tasks that require significant judgment and initiative.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff as appropriate.
  • Support various projects as assigned by direct supervisors.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

  • Experience in a multinational organization is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems is essential, with BW and SAP experience preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, databases, and PowerPoint are required.
  • Familiarity with financial planning systems, such as Anaplan, is preferred.
  • Strategic thinking and strong business partnership skills are essential.
