Emerson's Professional Tools division is seeking a skilled finance professional to take on the role of Senior Plant Controller. This position is integral to our operations, collaborating closely with Plant Management and the local Finance Leader to enhance financial outcomes and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly and annual financial planning and analysis, including budget reviews and manufacturing spend assessments.
- Reconcile monthly financial results with plans, providing explanations for significant variances in working capital and profitability.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and variance analyses, offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Partner with plant management to monitor costs and develop relevant analysis and reporting tools.
- Track productivity and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Engage in the decision-making process by preparing detailed analyses and presenting recommendations to management.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards, regularly monitoring key supply chain KPIs.
- Support accounting and controlling functions during monthly close processes.
- Conduct periodic operational reviews in collaboration with Operations, Finance, and Management teams.
- Participate in special projects focused on continuous process enhancements.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a balance of strategic planning and actionable execution. You will provide timely and relevant financial insights across the organization, leveraging analysis to evaluate and act on strategic opportunities. Your commitment to process improvement will be evident through your proactive approach.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar financial role, preferably within a manufacturing context.
- Proven experience in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and P&L reports.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information effectively to senior management.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a matrix organizational structure.
- Proactive in identifying and managing priorities.
