Position Summary
We are seeking a Data Governance Lead Specialist (f/m/d) to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in establishing and enhancing data governance frameworks that empower our organization to leverage data as a strategic asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and scale data governance processes across diverse data initiatives and digital innovations.
  • Automate the documentation of metadata, complex ETL processes, and compliance requirements within a comprehensive data catalog.
  • Gather compliance and business needs, coordinate task forces, and provide expert guidance.
  • Advance the central data governance framework, defining roles and responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the data strategy and support its technical implementation across the organization.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and upskilling on data governance concepts throughout the company.
  • Lead the operationalization of sub-strategies for data management and governance.
  • Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation.
Candidate Profile
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in data engineering, data science, informatics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in project management, data governance, and data management functions.
  • Strong understanding of data management tools and technologies, including data lake architecture and programming languages.
  • Experience with metadata management concepts and reporting tools.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale data transformation projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts clearly.
  • Ability to interpret legal obligations and their implications for data governance.
