The EU Amazon Transportation Services' ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System) team is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Senior Operations Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing a premier middle-mile process that ensures timely deliveries at optimal costs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead initiatives to achieve network-level excellence by designing and implementing systems, metrics, and programs that enhance compliance, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Forge strong partnerships with operational leaders to assess the impact of new business initiatives and effectively integrate them into daily operations.
- Collaborate with various Amazon business units globally to exchange best practices and enhance overall outcomes for our customers.
- Work alongside technology teams and product managers to create innovative tools and systems that support business growth.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the vision, content, and delivery of standard work and ACES Training programs.
- Establish benchmark standards and an auditing process to ensure operational excellence.
- Analyze and resolve operational challenges with a focus on identifying root causes.
The Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team is essential to our ability to deliver efficiently. As part of ATS, you will join a diverse group that plays a pivotal role in our success. Utilizing advanced transportation methods, including air, sea, and road, along with state-of-the-art sortation centers, you will help optimize Amazon's transportation operations.
Our team is dedicated to leveraging data to drive informed decisions, making Amazon more innovative and efficient. We prioritize safety, recognizing that our people are our greatest asset, and we rely on their expertise to ensure packages reach their destinations seamlessly.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated progressive responsibility in warehouse operations, logistics, transportation planning, or supply chain management.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (or higher) is preferred.
- Experience in program and project management.
- Proficient in advanced MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30-40% as needed.
