Production Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Maintenance Team Lead at our Barleben location near Magdeburg. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for implementing and proactively adapting maintenance processes to ensure the highest level of system availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team Lead to ensure the implementation of maintenance processes for production equipment and systems, including automated sorting and conveying systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies for predictive and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Work closely with the team to evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) in maintenance, including system availability and downtime, and ensure that goals and targets are met.
  • Implement and enforce safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture within the team.
  • Support the development of the maintenance team by identifying and addressing individual needs and opportunities.
  • Implement and manage maintenance systems and procedures, including training and support.
  • Develop cost-effective strategies for procurement of spare parts and ensure compliance with budget targets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for management and the maintenance team, providing technical expertise and support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role in maintenance, with a strong focus on team development and management.
  • Experience with automated systems, including production machines, sorting, and conveying systems.
  • Strong understanding of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English (B2 level) and German (C1 level).
