The EU Amazon Transportation Services' ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System) team is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced individual to take on the role of Senior Operations Specialist. This position is pivotal in developing a world-class middle mile process that ensures timely delivery of goods at optimal costs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead initiatives to enhance network-level performance by designing and implementing systems, metrics, and programs that promote compliance, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Foster strong partnerships with operational leaders to assess the impact of new business initiatives and ensure their successful integration and deployment.
- Collaborate with global Amazon business units to share best practices and enhance end-to-end outcomes for our customers.
- Work alongside technology teams and product managers to innovate new tools and systems that support business growth.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the vision, content, and delivery of standard work and ACES Training programs.
- Establish benchmark standards and audit processes to maintain operational excellence.
- Analyze and resolve operational challenges with a focus on identifying root causes.
The Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team is essential to our ability to deliver at scale. As part of ATS, you will be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a crucial role in our success. Utilizing air, sea, and road transport, along with state-of-the-art sortation centers, you will help ensure that Amazon's transportation operates at peak efficiency.
Our team leverages data to drive informed decisions, making Amazon more innovative and efficient. We prioritize safety, recognizing that our people are our greatest asset, and we rely on their expertise to ensure packages reach their destinations effectively.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent extensive experience.
- Demonstrated progressive responsibility in logistics, transportation planning, or supply chain management.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or higher.
- Experience in program and project management.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30-40% as required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets.
- Capability to distill complex operational models and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels, engaging effectively with senior leaders and on the ground teams.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, Visual Basic, Tableau, or other technical tools.
