Data Engineering Specialist

Ottobock's Data Insights & Advance Analytics team is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our growing team
We are passionate about leveraging data to drive business success and improve the lives of our patients. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining our Azure-based data infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists, to develop and implement data-driven solutions.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of our Azure data platform alongside our data/platform architects.
- Develop robust and scalable data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Integrate new (internal/external) data sources into our Azure Data Lake.
- Monitor the performance of data pipelines and implement optimizations for efficiency and reliability.
- Contribute your innovative ideas and actively participate in a dynamic team environment.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with the Azure data engineering stack, or equivalent experience with AWS or GCP.
- Proficiency in Python and data science/machine learning libraries.
- Experience with Databricks is highly preferred.
- Strong software engineering skills, including DevOps practices and Git workflows.
- Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with SAP BW is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. German language proficiency is beneficial.
- Ability to thrive in a self-organizing environment and a passion for continuous learning.
