Overview
The Real Estate team plays a crucial role in managing the Group's Real Estate portfolio, which includes several Shell Business Operations Centres and the Corporate Travel Programme. Our mission is to support Shell's strategy of providing more and cleaner energy solutions while creating inspiring experiences for customers, employees, and visitors. As the Security Operations Manager, you will lead efforts to ensure the safety and security of Shell's assets while prioritizing customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily security operations at Shell corporate locations, ensuring effective coordination of security services, access control, reception, hospitality, incident management, and emergency response.
- Providing security consultancy to various locations across Germany.
- Collaborating with business leaders to facilitate initiatives impacting asset protection, including event management and VIP visits.
- Managing security contracts and ensuring the effective delivery of services by security providers.
- Investigating security incidents and ensuring thorough inquiries are conducted.
- Initiating discussions on necessary changes to security policies and providing input on global standards.
- Conducting security risk assessments and implementing mitigating measures in collaboration with contracted parties.
- Engaging with local emergency services and maintaining relationships with other Asset Protection Managers.
- Delivering security awareness training as needed.
- Ensuring financial performance aligns with budget guidelines.
Scope of Role
The Security Operations Manager will be responsible for security operations across approximately five locations, including both office and industrial environments. This role involves managing a team of 40-50 contracted security personnel through three site leads. The position requires occasional travel and a regular presence at designated sites.
