Accounting Manager (f/m/x)

Your mission
  • Collaborate with business partners and various departments on key initiatives (e.g. CSRD; Transition to managed service provider)
  • Evaluate and enhance current processes and controls while establishing new procedures and guidelines within a European context
  • Act as the primary liaison for auditors and tax advisors
  • Assist the Accounting team in ensuring precision and compliance in financial reporting & taxation for our legal entities and over 20 branches
  • Assess the monthly and quarterly reporting packages prepared by the Shared Service Center
  • Aid in the preparation and review of local VAT returns and other tax filings (e.g. Intrastat, SAFT-Report, etc.) prepared by our Shared Service Center/local tax advisors for IONITY and its branches as necessary
  • Facilitate the overall coordination and management of the outsourced Shared Service Center and the various local teams of our tax consultants
Your profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration with a focus on taxation, accounting, or auditing, or equivalent qualifications such as certified accountant or tax specialist
  • A professional background of approximately 3-5 years in the relevant fields, preferably within a tax/auditing firm or a company operating in a European environment
  • Profound knowledge of indirect taxation within a European framework
  • Familiarity with accounting standards and principles according to HGB and IFRS is advantageous
  • Understanding of accounting processes in a European financial setting is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, meticulous, self-sufficient, and organized approach to work
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities across all levels
  • Proficient language skills in German and English, with advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, and ideally experience with SAP/S4 HANA
