POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated R&D Project Leader specializing in the Automotive Market. This role involves spearheading various projects aligned with our automotive strategy roadmap, focusing on New Product Development, Adaptation, and Raw Material innovations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Innovation Management:
- Oversee and implement innovation initiatives aimed at developing new polyamide solutions for automotive applications, responding proactively to market demands.
- Facilitate project team meetings and management reviews: Define project objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, and address any deviations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to comprehend requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Conduct technical presentations and engage directly with clients when necessary.
- Technical Development:
- Lead exploratory projects to enhance technical support for new applications and technologies, in collaboration with Application Development Managers.
- Identify necessary technical actions to better position existing or new products for emerging applications.
- Coordinate with various Application Center labs to support these initiatives.
- Raw Material Approval:
- Engage in raw material surveys and assist the raw material manager in the homologation of new materials.
- Manage specific projects within the raw material portfolio.
- Plan and analyze tests at both R&D and industrial levels, ensuring the validation and approval of new materials in product formulations.
- Regional Support:
- Provide assistance to other regions on local product development initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to HSE regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Polymer Science, Material Science, or Chemistry.
- Strong understanding of polymer properties, technical plastics formulation, and processing technologies.
- Experience in the automotive sector is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in plastics formulation for injection molding.
- Proven project leadership and transverse management skills.
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint presentations and written reports.
- Fluent in English.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across various functions.
- Customer-focused with a proactive and curious mindset.
