Postdoctoral Researcher in Structural Biology of Inflammation

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. The successful candidate will work on structural and functional aspects of inflammatory pathways underlying various pathologies, including diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, neurodegeneration, and cancer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform molecular biology techniques, including cloning, mutagenesis, and recombinant protein expression with purification methods.
  • Conduct protein biochemistry assays, such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, and fluorescence/activity assays, as well as cryo-EM workflows.
  • Execute cell culture and cell-based assays, including stable cell line generation and viability testing.
  • Analyze experimental data and interpret results for scientific reporting.
  • Write and present scientific findings clearly and effectively.
Requirements:
  • PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, life sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in molecular/cellular biology and protein biochemistry.
  • Experience in structural biology is desirable.
  • High levels of self-motivation and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Strong interest in structural biology and immunity.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
