Title: Contracts Coordinator

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Commercial Contracts Support within Global Business Services, the Contracts Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering essential contractual and operational assistance to the Sales team, overseeing all facets of the contracts process from inception to completion. This position aims to enhance the capacity of the Sales team by addressing their contractual requirements, serving as a subject matter expert, problem solver, and strategic thinker.

Your Role in Our Mission:

Supply requested contracts to the Sales team, including deal-specific details; draft Master Services Agreements, Amendments, service-specific master agreements, pricing schedules, and review modifications upon confirming business expectations with Sales; draft and review Statements of Work and suggest modifications to ensure alignment with company practices. A strong understanding of legal requirements related to complex professional services projects is essential. Proactively identify inconsistencies, gaps, and contradictions in business specifications within contracts or requests from Sales, then amend documents as necessary, seeking approvals when required. Employ a creative approach to problem-solving and resolving challenges within a large organization by clarifying complex contractual issues with business owners and implementing non-standard language within contracts. Address business and operational matters by balancing customer needs with internal company policies, striving for compromise to meet or exceed customer expectations. Ensure that operational and business issues within contracts have been reviewed and approved by subject matter experts (e.g., Product Management, Finance, Sales, Operations, etc.), senior management, and the Legal Department. Assist with various projects as needed.

Valued Skills and Experience:

Mandatory fluency with strong proficiency in both written and oral communication. Significant experience in contracts administration. General understanding of standard contract provisions, such as liability, confidentiality, indemnity, etc., with the ability to educate Sales on these matters. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills related to drafting and modifying contractual documents. Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in drafting and reviewing contracts, including grammar and formatting. Strong customer service, administrative, and organizational skills and experience. Ability to comprehend a project through discussions with Sales or by reviewing contractual documents, including statements of work. Capability to understand business specifications and operational requirements and translate them into clearly articulated contractual documents; strong business acumen. Strong project management skills with the ability to influence and achieve results through collaboration. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing workloads and business pressures. This position will oversee the timely processing of contracts to finalize customer transactions, meeting or exceeding service level agreements. General understanding of software as a service and licensed software technologies. Familiarity with providing contractual support for Reseller and Channel partnerships. Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude to complete assigned tasks within a defined timeline. Professional communication skills; interpersonal skills are crucial for building rapport and collaborating with internal and external business partners (e.g., Legal, Product Management, Sales, etc.). Ability to learn new systems and software as required. Familiarity with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and a general understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Comfortable interacting with all areas of the organization, including senior management. Prior experience directly supporting a commercial Sales team in a contractual capacity, preferably in a services or high-tech industry; must understand sales processes and adhere to internal procedures.
