Process Improvement Lead Engineer

A leading Geothermal Power Plant company in Germany is seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Lead Engineer to join their team.


About the Role:
As a Process Improvement Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our geothermal power plants. Your responsibilities will include participating in safety evaluations, conceptual design, and plant layout. You will define technical specifications, choose vendors, and develop components. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining plant documentation, advising potential clients, and reviewing technical specifications. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineering, design, process automation, and production/assembly.

Requirements:
• Professional Engineer registered with APEGA
• 5-10 years of related experience
• Experience with thermodynamic process modeling software such as UniSim, HYSYS, or VMG
• Experience designing, building, and operating process plants from an owner's perspective is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and directives
• Knowledge of process instrumentation and control
• Programming experience (VBA, Python, R, or MATLAB) is an asset
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is an asset
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication abilities (being multilingual is an asset)
• Willingness to travel
