NMR Pulse Analysis and Electrochemical Experiment Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team at Forschungszentrum Jülich as an Internship/Master Thesis researcher. The successful candidate will work on developing and implementing state-of-the-art spectrogram pulse analysis methods for NMR experiments in electrochemical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Port and test a spectrogram module for pulse sequence analysis from Matlab to Python
  • Investigate the influence of electrochemical NMR setups on spin state preparation using spectrograms
  • Collaborate with experimental NMR spectroscopists to optimize workflow
  • Develop and implement a state-of-the-art spectrogram pulse analysis method

Requirements:

  • Ongoing master studies in chemistry, physics, data science, computer science, or a related field
  • Knowledge of NMR spectroscopy fundamentals required
  • Experience in Python programming required
  • Expertise in electrochemistry and spin dynamics desirable
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English
