Network Engineer for High Frequency Trading Environment

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Frankfurt, Germany. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our global trading networks, ensuring the delivery of trading data to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain physical network infrastructure
- Conduct measurements of interconnection links to determine length
- Perform practical tasks in the data centre, including cable installation and testing
- Develop automated test scenarios and tools for evaluating customer connections
- Ensure operational stability of the network
- Document procedures and measurements in the Colo network
- Provide consultancy services to other departments and support the implementation of new technologies
- At least 3 years of experience in DC infrastructure
- Proven experience in network technology
- Basic knowledge of network concepts, including NTP, PTP, and PPS
- Good knowledge of physical infrastructure, including TAP, fibre optic cables, and coax cables
- Experience with measuring devices, such as OTDR and cable-tester
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Ability to work in a critical production environment and perform regular installations on weekends
