Internal Controls Manager

We are seeking an experienced Internal Controls Manager to join our Commercial Pharma team at AbbVie. As a key member of our finance organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our internal controls.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain internal control mappings for pharmaceutical and aesthetics businesses.
- Enhance awareness of internal controls across various departments and align with other affiliates to implement best practices.
- Coordinate initiatives to improve, simplify, and optimize finance processes, identifying high, medium, and low-risk areas.
- Manage end-to-end controls, from processes to financial reconciliations.
- Act as a liaison between cross-functional groups, businesses, and finance management to co-develop and implement projects and process improvements.
- Monitor compliance with pharmaceutical business regulations (excluding aesthetics business unit).
- Provide consulting services on policy-relevant topics.
- Coordinate communication and change management for key projects impacting processes.
- Ensure buy-in from impacted users and stakeholders for finance projects and process changes.
- Manage resources and report on change management and project coordination.
- Prepare and coordinate internal audits with relevant stakeholders within the affiliate and shared service organization.
- Lead projects in the finance organization, including the successful implementation of new or optimized processes.
- University degree with at least 5 years of professional experience in finance or business administration.
- Significant experience in big four or internal controls in an international company, including practical experience with Sox controls.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive projects and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Ability to move into different finance roles.
- Auditor background is a plus.
- Shared service center and matrix experience is a plus.
- International mobility is a plus.
- Fluent in German and English.
