Process Improvement Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Continuous Improvement Teams at TE Connectivity are responsible for designing and executing initiatives aimed at enhancing products, services, or processes in alignment with corporate strategies. These teams provide coaching, establish performance metrics, and support process excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate, implement, and advance Kaizen events and projects (e.g., quick changeover optimization, problem-solving initiatives) Oversee the implementation and management of Operational Excellence across all levels, including the rollout of Lean Six Sigma projects to further develop a Lean Performance Management System. Provide implementation support, regular reporting, and progress tracking of the 5S methodology at the facility Educate employees and management on 5S and the use of the internal continuous improvement database, as well as methodologies such as SMED, VSM, MSA, Lean, and Kaizen. Propel continuous improvement initiatives at the facility and apply lean tools as part of the TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) team to enhance lean maturity. Assist in the creation of value stream mapping at the facility to identify opportunities for improvement and execute tracking according to the deployment strategy. Maintain and update the TEOA homepage (Sharepoint) on the intranet, along with KPIs, dashboards, and the reporting framework. Communicate project updates and TEOA topics through internal communication channels (Sharepoint, myTE, digital signage). Develop and document training materials and work instructions for TEOA. Serve as a deputy to the TEOA Manager (m/f/d).REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or engineering degree completed successfully. 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in production (e.g., plastics technology) is advantageous. Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification is a plus. Training as a Lean Expert with several years of experience in Lean methodologies. Certification as a QCO / SMED expert is beneficial. Strong team player with assertiveness, excellent communication, and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage projects, coordinate team knowledge, and independently implement improvements. Familiarity with MES systems (e.g., SAP, Hydra) and Sharepoint is a plus. Digital proficiency and strong computer skills. Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
