POSITION SUMMARY:
The Continuous Improvement Teams at TE Connectivity are responsible for devising and executing initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing products, services, or workflows in alignment with organizational strategies. They mentor teams, set performance metrics for programs, and promote process excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate, execute, and promote Kaizen events and initiatives (e.g., setup time optimization (QCO), problem-solving Kaizen) Oversee the implementation and management of Operational Excellence across all tiers and the deployment of Lean Six Sigma projects to advance a Lean Performance Management System. Provide implementation support, regular updates, and progress tracking of the 5S methodology at the facility Educate employees and managers on 5S and the utilization of the internal continuous improvement database (NWH), as well as SMED, VSM, MSA, Lean & Kaizen methodologies. Propel continuous improvement initiatives at the facility and apply lean tools as part of the TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) team to elevate lean maturity. Assist in the development of value stream mapping at the facility to pinpoint improvement opportunities and execute and monitor according to the deployment strategy. Regularly update and maintain the TEOA homepage (Sharepoint) on the intranet, including KPIs, dashboards, and reporting structures. Communicate project updates and TEOA topics through internal communication platforms (Sharepoint, myTE, digital signage). Create and document TEOA training materials and operational instructions. Serve as the deputy to the TEOA Manager (m/f/d).REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A completed bachelor's or engineering degree. 3-5 years of relevant professional experience and knowledge in production (e.g., plastics technology) is advantageous. Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification is preferred. Completed training as a Lean Expert with several years of experience in Lean methodologies. Certification as a QCO / SMED expert is a plus. Strong team player with assertiveness, excellent communication, and presentation skills. Capable of managing projects, coordinating employee expertise, and independently driving improvements. Familiarity with MES systems (e.g., SAP, Hydra) and Sharepoint is beneficial.
