At Uniper, we are proactively transforming the world of energy while ensuring security of energy supply. Our Renewables team in Düsseldorf is looking for a skilled Solar Engineer to join our diverse and dynamic team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design utility scale ground mounted solar PV projects with an initial focus on project development support.
  • Use industry standard software to progress technical design work from preliminary to detail level in line with project development maturity.
  • Optimize layouts and yields based on constraint analysis.
  • Design in compliance with industry codes and standards and incorporate feedback from Construction, Operations, and Development.
  • Support the preparation of post-construction documentation.
  • Provide expertise during project development and implementation, remotely and on site.
  • Support and lead technical due diligences.
  • Optimal cooperation within Renewables, consisting of developers, engineers, project-, contract-, and offtake-managers, market and strategy analysts, as well as a network of external partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management activities internally and externally.

Your Profile

  • University degree in Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven track record in business transformation or operational excellence preferable.
  • Creative and open-minded individual with a good sense of humor.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record of international work experience and appreciation of cultural differences.
  • Business fluency in English.
