Your Mission
  • Overseeing adherence to pertinent laws and regulations while remaining informed about all applicable legal frameworks that influence the company's operations.
  • Crafting, developing, and executing a robust Compliance Management System along with comprehensive compliance initiatives. This includes formulating policies and procedures that reflect the organization's dedication to compliance and facilitating training sessions for staff on these guidelines.
  • Performing internal audits and risk evaluations to uncover any potential compliance vulnerabilities or deficiencies within the company's processes and systems.
  • Tracking and reporting on the organization's activities to ensure alignment with legal requirements, regulations, and internal protocols.
  • Keeping precise and current records and documentation associated with compliance undertakings.
  • Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, including Managing Directors, Legal, Finance, and HR departments, to foster a culture of compliance across the organization.
This role represents a unique opportunity to establish the compliance function within IONITY, allowing for a foundational impact on the organization from the outset.

In summary, the Compliance Officer is essential in ensuring that IONITY operates with integrity, adheres to legal standards, and maintains a reputation that minimizes legal and financial risks.

Your Profile
  • A degree in a relevant field such as law, business administration, finance, or a related discipline is preferred, accompanied by a solid understanding of legal and regulatory compliance, risk management, and business ethics.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in compliance roles, ideally within an international corporate setting, covering a wide spectrum of compliance areas including regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering, data privacy, and ethics.
  • Profound knowledge of the German and European regulatory landscape, including familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and industry-specific compliance obligations.
  • Proven experience in successfully developing and implementing compliance programs within organizations, which encompasses policy creation, risk assessments, and training delivery.
  • A history of managing improvement initiatives, organizing compliance meetings and reports, and maintaining transparency through meticulous note-taking.
  • An independent, analytical, structured, and detail-oriented work style.
  • A dedicated team player with strong comprehension skills and a keen interest in regulatory matters.
  • A self-motivated individual with a proactive mindset, analytical capabilities, confident demeanor, and assertiveness.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in business-level English.
