Senior Statistician with Focus on Non-Clinical Research

Job Title: Senior Statistician with Focus on Non-Clinical Research

Biostatistics and Data Sciences (BDS) is a global organization with a strong presence within the Human Pharma Business Unit. We combine methodological and technical data science skills with business and scientific expertise to drive smart, timely, and confident decision-making at every stage of drug development, approval, and access.

As a Senior Statistician with a focus on non-clinical research, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of all data analytic aspects in non-clinical studies and projects. This includes experimental design, data analytics, and data transformation, as well as reporting. You will apply traditional statistical methods and combine them with cutting-edge data science methods in designing, collecting, and analyzing data from research and development.

You will collaborate closely with scientists and experts from various disciplines to generate insights that make a difference for our patients. You will challenge yourself and enhance your business knowledge as well as your scientific expertise in a global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute all data analytic aspects in non-clinical studies and projects
  • Apply traditional statistical methods and combine them with cutting-edge data science methods
  • Collaborate with scientists and experts from various disciplines
  • Generate insights that make a difference for our patients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc), Master of Science (MSc) or Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge of statistical methodology, design of experiments, and basic terminology related to pharmaceutical research and development
  • Proficient knowledge of and hands-on experience in relevant software languages, like SAS and R

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated broad knowledge and experience in planning, transforming, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting from complex non-clinical studies and projects
  • In-depth knowledge and experience regarding advanced statistical concepts as well as relevant software languages
