Job Title: Quality Engineering Manager

At Applied Materials, we are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Manager to join our team in Munich, Germany. As a key member of our operations division, you will be responsible for driving quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with customer and company quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Quality Engineering Division, overseeing technical and personnel management
  • Establish close collaboration with other departments, defining clear handshakes, responsibilities, and flawless execution
  • Develop and implement quality control measures, planning and executing continuous quality improvements
  • Report quality-relevant key figures to relevant stakeholders, ensuring compliance with customer and company quality procedures
  • Establish quality standards in accordance with Applied Materials QMS and AOP, defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures, monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, optical, industrial), or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or supply chain management in a complex technical environment
  • 2-3 years of proven experience as a team leader or supervisor would be an advantage
  • Green or Black Belt / Lean Six Sigma experience including tooling (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D)
  • Experience in managing supplier on quality performance, preferably in complex high-tech industry
  • Experience in quality improvement & operational excellence in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in complex work environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in building and maintaining strategic relations with suppliers
  • Deep understanding and experience with Quality Management Systems and Tools
