Your Role

The Cloud Security Specialist (m/f/d) within our global Cloud Security division plays a pivotal role in safeguarding DocuWare's Cloud services. This position is central to our worldwide R&D team, allowing you to collaborate with engineers, architects, and product managers to securely innovate new functionalities for our DocuWare Cloud platform.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Collaborating with engineering teams to actively engage in the secure development and deployment of cloud solutions.
  • Contributing to the architecture guild, ensuring the integration of robust security practices from the project's inception.
  • Focusing on the security of the cloud infrastructure, which includes the implementation, testing, and maintenance of security controls.
  • Conducting security assessments on prototypes to identify vulnerabilities and proposing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Developing and automating cloud security processes to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications for Success
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer, or Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline) with several years of experience in security.
  • Proficient knowledge of core cloud services, including network architectures, WAF, storage solutions, databases, containers, messaging systems, logging, and monitoring.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in assessing and securing environments, particularly within Azure.
  • Familiarity with C# for conducting code security reviews, as well as programming languages for automation, such as PowerShell, Python, or Go.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks independently while demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • A genuine desire to excel and grow as a security engineer, with a passion for educating fellow engineers.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex security issues clearly. You thrive in an international team environment utilizing modern technologies.
  • Fluency in English is required (German language skills are a plus).
