Wir suchen einen Forschungsmitarbeiter (m/w/d) im Bereich quantitative Pflanzenvererbung für eine unbefristete Vollzeitstelle bei der KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA.

In dieser Rolle werden Sie eng mit den Zucht- und Forschungsteams für Zuckerrüben und Getreide zusammenarbeiten und dabei auch die Bereiche Geschäftsentwicklung und Marketing einbeziehen. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, aktiv an der Umsetzung unserer digitalen Strategie mitzuwirken.

Ihre Aufgaben:

  • Optimierung der Produktentwicklung: Verbessern Sie unsere Prozesse zur Produktentwicklung durch die Gestaltung und Validierung innovativer analytischer Methoden, die auf verschiedene Zuchtprogramme abgestimmt sind.
  • Einführung von Biostatistik: Leiten Sie die Implementierung biostatistischer Werkzeuge, die unseren Zuchtexperten wertvolle Entscheidungshilfen bieten.
  • Management der Zuchttechnologie: Überwachen Sie die Abläufe der Zuchttechnologie innerhalb unserer Initiativen für Zuckerrüben und Getreide.
  • Strategische Unterstützung: Unterstützen Sie unsere Zuchtteams entscheidend bei der Entwicklung strategischer Verbesserungen zur Effizienzsteigerung der Zuchtprogramme.
  • Interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit: Fördern Sie die Kooperation über verschiedene Funktionen und Kulturen hinweg, um Erkenntnisse aus der quantitativen Genetik und Zuchttechnologie in unsere Programme zu integrieren.

Bringen Sie Ihre Stärken ein:

  • Ein Hochschulabschluss (Promotion oder M.Sc.) in Agrarwissenschaften mit Schwerpunkt Pflanzenzüchtung und quantitative Genetik, Biostatistik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation.
  • Erfahrung in der Umsetzung von Geschäfts- und Zuchtanforderungen in prädiktive Modelle ist wünschenswert.
  • Leidenschaft für Datenanalyse und die Fähigkeit, große Datensätze zu verarbeiten, einschließlich der Beherrschung relevanter statistischer Software (R, Python, Julia).
  • Streben nach wertschöpfenden Lösungen in interdisziplinären Teams.
  • Projektmanagementfähigkeiten und gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten (Englisch ist erforderlich, berufliches Deutsch wäre von Vorteil).
