About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician to join our team at Bertrandt. As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems for SPS, SCADA, and process control systems in the manufacturing and machinery industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control software for SPS, SCADA, and process control systems, including visualization.
  • Develop customer-specific solutions through the creation of new and the enhancement of existing automation concepts.
  • Document your solutions in functional and performance descriptions and write operating instructions.
  • Complete the project work with the commissioning of the plant and the customer.
  • Provide after-sales support to our customers, including on-site service visits.

Requirements:

  • You have completed an apprenticeship as an electronics technician or mechatronics technician and have ideally completed a further education as a technician in the field of electrical engineering or automation technology.
  • You have experience in programming SPS control systems and visualizations from manufacturers such as Siemens, Beckhoff, or B&R, and are proficient in working with common tools (Siemens S7, WinCC, TIA-Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, CODESYS, etc.).
  • Ideally, you have also acquired experience in a high-level language (C, C++) and an electro CAD system such as EPLAN.
  • You have good English language skills and are willing to travel.
