Overview
We are seeking a skilled "Project Manager Development Electronics & Software (f/m/d)" to join our "Smart Sensors" division at the Oberkochen location. This division is dedicated to the innovation of imaging sensors, active sensors, and warning sensors, which operate across the visual to infrared spectrum for reconnaissance and target detection in both civilian and military sectors.The "Sensor Electronics and Hardware" team is tasked with the electronics and software development for these advanced sensors. Other teams within the division focus on technical management, optical and mechanical design, as well as sensor measurement technology.
Your Responsibilities
- Act as the technical sub-project manager overseeing development projects
- Coordinate budget structures and monitor financial performance
- Develop and maintain a network of service providers
- Manage subcontracting processes both internally and externally
- Oversee and supervise external development services, including organizing reviews
- Manage timelines, deadlines, and costs effectively
- Assist in conducting internal reviews throughout the development lifecycle
- Coordinate development activities with purchasing, quality, production, documentation, logistics, and system engineering teams
- Prepare for and participate in customer acceptance tests and trials
- Serve as the interface between internal electronics and software development and relevant system-related development departments
Your Qualifications
- Completed technical education, preferably in computer science, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Project management certification is a plus
- Extensive experience in project management, ideally within agile environments or development projects
- Proven experience working with national and international subcontractors
- Experience collaborating with internal customers and partners
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and SAP
- Ability to work independently and proactively with a solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills and a persuasive demeanor
- Willingness to take on responsibility, work collaboratively, and stay motivated
- Fluent in both German and English
