What to Anticipate?You will experience an optimal mix of theory and practice.

In the Role (80% of the Time):
  • Collaborate in a multicultural team with engineers from various countries
  • Gain insights into the development lifecycle of a large-scale project, from prototyping to coding, testing, and integration into existing products
  • Acquire new skills from experienced supervisors in software development
  • Explore advanced artificial intelligence techniques based on large language models
  • The position allows sufficient time for your studies
In the Program (20% of the Time):
The modules of the M.Sc. PSE include:
  • Cloud Computing and contemporary database systems
  • Agile software engineering (including a two-semester software project)
  • Frontend development
  • Backend development
  • Modern software architecture and development
  • Three semesters of part-time study plus a six-month Master's thesis
  • Theory phases in block seminars and online (hybrid model)
  • Practical instruction from professors and industry experts
  • A supportive learning atmosphere in small groups
  • Engaging and challenging projects in your partner company where you can apply your knowledge practically
What Qualifications Should You Have?For the Role:
  • Essential technical and professional skills
  • Software Engineering - focus on Backend development
  • Solid practical experience in Python
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
  • Experience with unit testing
  • Experience with Linux
  • Basic understanding of cloud and containerization technologies
  • Familiarity with Docker/Podman
  • Knowledge of OpenShift / Kubernetes
For the Program:
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field with at least 45 ECTS in computer science
  • Initial experience in software development
  • Passion for new technologies and enjoyment in programming
  • Motivation and eagerness to learn
  • Proven English proficiency level B2
  • Possibly proven German proficiency level C1
