Director of Policy and Government Affairs

Via is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our policy and government affairs efforts in the DACH region. As a key member of our team, you will develop and execute a comprehensive government relations and policy strategy to drive Via's success in the region.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain relationships with key policymakers and their staffs to ensure Via's policy stances are known at the regional, national, and EU levels.
- Develop and advocate for Via's positions on legislation and regulations that impact our business, while generating opportunities for growth through policy outcomes.
- Represent Via and its vision for improving cities to the broader political and policy community, building partnerships with stakeholders, including NGOs, think tanks, and academic institutions.
- Draft official written materials, including op-eds, blog posts, policy proposals, and comments on regulations.
- Manage public policy firm and consultant engagements on targeted projects.
- Work within industry coalitions and develop industry contacts to advance areas of common interest.
- Represent the company at policy conferences and forums.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in policy and government affairs.
- A strategic thinker and day-to-day executor who can juggle multiple issues simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated writing, editing, and speaking abilities.
- Native-level German is required, with French and Italian being a plus.
