Internship in Climate Finance Strategy

About the Role: The Partnering for Readiness (PfR) initiative is dedicated to assisting partner nations in strategically planning for climate finance and accessing the Green Climate Fund (GCF). This role aims to enhance the capabilities of countries to establish frameworks for independently executing climate projects and achieving their climate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, execution, and reporting of activities related to GCF Readiness.
- Support research and the creation of informational and operational materials, focusing on GCF Board meetings and the processes and requirements for GCF Readiness implementation.
- Manage information and communication effectively.
- Contribute to the preparation and follow-up of workshops and collaborative meetings.
- Prepare presentations and minutes for various discussions.
- Present GCF Readiness-related activities for both internal and external communication channels.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant academic program.
- Knowledge in climate change, particularly in international climate finance and policy, adaptation, mitigation, or green financial systems.
- Understanding of development cooperation principles.
- Practical experience through internships or part-time roles in related fields.
- Strong analytical skills, structured approach to work, and proficient oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously, even under pressure.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or Spanish is advantageous.
- Excellent command of standard MS Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Compensation: A monthly stipend of €2,134.52 (gross) will be provided.
