Job Title: Product Development Manager
About the Role:
JTI is a leading international tobacco and vaping company with operations in over 130 countries. We are seeking a Product Development Manager to join our R&D Tobacco Product Development Center in Trier, Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned projects to develop and execute test designs using tobaccos, materials, and processes most economically.
- Initiate consumer tests and evaluate results on product strengths and weaknesses.
- Prepare product specifications and follow up on product changes to the industrial manufacturing stage.
- Ensure communication on product development and maintenance to Global Supply Chain and other stakeholders.
- Manage the implementation of product/specification changes in close cooperation with technical departments.
Requirements:
- University degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, or Agronomy or equivalent education.
- Minimum several years of business practice in the tobacco industry or FMCG industry.
- Experience in Research & Development and Product Development is preferred.
- Understanding of tobaccos and markets, casing & flavor, cigarette components, and designs is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills, as well as team-oriented.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional foreign language knowledge is advantageous.
