Azure Data Solutions Engineer

Join our team as a Data Solutions Engineer. In this position, you will take charge of architecting, constructing, and overseeing data systems and workflows utilizing Azure and Databricks. You will collaborate closely with Data Product Teams to ensure the smooth incorporation of solutions into the current IT framework. Your proficiency in data governance, analysis, integration, and security will be essential in enhancing operational efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and oversee data systems and workflows within Azure and Databricks
  • Develop automated processes using Azure Data Factory
  • Craft and refine T-SQL and Stored Procedures
  • Design data models in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, and Databricks
  • Assist Data Product Teams with data inquiries and visualizations
  • Engage with stakeholders in the Data Product and Platform Team
  • Regularly evaluate and improve data accessibility, quality, and platform reliability
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a scientific discipline, or equivalent experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the Azure technology stack and Databricks
  • Experience in data workflows and data modeling
  • Proficient in Python and SQL
  • Familiarity with data encryption and security protocols
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • A collaborative team player who can also work autonomously
  • Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and Cloud product monitoring is advantageous
