Your Role as a Cloud Architect

We are in the process of transforming our traditional IT landscape into a contemporary microservices architecture in the cloud. As a Cloud Architect for Digital Platforms and Order Services within the Sales & Marketing IT Team, you will provide strategic guidance and technical leadership to our agile engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Solution Design: Crafting scalable, high-performance application architectures.
  • Architectural Blueprints: Developing frameworks to guide integration with core enterprise systems.
  • Alignment with Standards: Ensuring solutions adhere to enterprise architecture principles, security policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Technology Evaluation: Assessing emerging technologies and recommending new tools to enhance marketing capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with marketing stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Innovation Leadership: Promoting the adoption of cloud-native services and modern development practices, including DevOps and microservices architecture.
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Leading teams to deliver cloud solutions effectively.
  • Collaboration Across Departments: Ensuring cloud solutions align with enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Mentorship: Providing technical guidance and support to junior architects and developers.
  • Reliability Solutions: Implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for cloud-based applications.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Developing business continuity plans for critical systems.
  • Cost Optimization: Enhancing cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud solution engineering or architecture, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, containerization technologies, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on achieving results and personal development.
  • Willingness to travel for business when necessary.
  • Fluency in English and German.
