Position Summary:
The Director of ESG Initiatives will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's sustainability and compliance strategies. This position involves collaboration within the international SICK procurement and production network, focusing on the development of effective business strategies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the evolution and enhancement of the SICK procurement and production network while adhering to legal and customer requirements.
- Conduct risk analyses and implement measures to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Collaborate closely with purchasing departments, legal teams, and environmental management to ensure compliance and sustainability.
- Formulate and execute sustainability strategies for both external suppliers and internal operations, aligning with legal frameworks.
- Engage strategically within the procurement and production network to drive the company’s objectives forward.
Candidate Profile:
- A degree in industrial engineering, business administration, environmental management, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience, preferably in manufacturing, environmental, or procurement sectors.
- Familiarity with SAP and initial management experience is advantageous.
- Excellent command of English is essential.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to innovate and explore new avenues.
- Strong analytical, goal-oriented, and entrepreneurial thinking skills.
- Exceptional teamwork, communication, and negotiation abilities.
