Director of Generics Strategy and Portfolio

Job Title: Director (m/f/d) - Generics (Strategy & Portfolio), Europe and RoW Markets, BU Pharma

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to join our team in Europe and RoW Markets, BU Pharma. As a key member of our strategy & portfolio team, you will play a crucial role in building our portfolio pipeline and driving profitable growth in our generics portfolio.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategy proposals for future pipeline products and product life cycle management initiatives to ensure a robust generics pipeline.
  • Translate our long-term strategy into mid-term activity plans and drive realization.
  • Lead portfolio management, including identification, recommendation, and management of new project approvals, as well as monitoring and supporting the development phase, timely regulatory submissions, and life cycle management of key products in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify new in-licensing opportunities with the support of our business development team and evaluate them as input for our decision-making process.
  • Provide strategic marketing support, including marketing materials, launch kits, and product training.
  • Responsible for performing tasks related to assigned European and RoW markets, including portfolio gap fill review and analysis, new product ideas, product life cycle management initiatives, and geographical portfolio rollout projects.

Your Profile:

  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) and/or a pharmaceutical/medical degree is required.
  • You bring at least 5 years of work experience in generics portfolio management within an international matrix-driven organization in the healthcare industry.
  • You have ideally at least 3 years of commercial experience, preferably with P&L responsibility and/or a sales/marketing function in key EU markets.
  • You have strong business and commercial acumen and a good understanding of key therapeutic areas.
  • You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • You are a strong team player.
  • You are solution-oriented with a balance of strategic thinking and strong execution sense.
  • You bring advanced Excel knowledge.
  • You are well-organized while being reactive and having a sense of urgency.
