Operations Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Project Manager to join our team at Alstom in Kassel. As a key member of our industrial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical delivery of our trains in terms of quality, time, and cost.
Key Responsibilities- Industrial Operations Management: Ensure the set-up of the assembly line, coordinate supply chain, industrialization, production, testing, and commissioning for the train delivery location in terms of industrial quality.
- Design for Operations (DfO): Ensure that DfO aspects are considered in the development phase to optimize industrial operations.
- Industrial Site Coordination: Coordinate industrial sites including suppliers, if necessary, to ensure seamless operations.
- Industrial Management Planning: Develop the Industrial Management Plan for the project (IMP), including the Industrial Project Organization (PIO), the Make-or-Buy strategy, industrial planning and review, list of deliverables, and ToT management plan.
- Team Management: Proactive planning and ensuring the staffing of the industrial operations team, escalating if available project resources do not match project requirements.
- Industrial Operations Management: Manage activities related to industrial operations (industrialization and set-up of production line, technology transfer, supply chain, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning of the overall system) and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Industrial Data Management: Ensure correct setup of industrial data in the ERP.
- Experience: Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in the industrial business, including 1 year at the project level.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge in the areas of industry, supply chain, and project and business background.
- Skills: Balanced skills in management, industrial management, and project leadership.
- Leadership: Strong leadership qualities and ability to bring teams with technical orientation together to achieve QCD goals.
- Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional activities and numerous/diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and make efficient decisions in a complex environment.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to work across locations in a multicultural environment.
- Language: Fluent in English (B2).
