ROLE OVERVIEWAmazon is seeking a Contracts Operations Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the execution of contracts, manage data integrity, implement deals, and facilitate partner onboarding across our EU and UK markets. You will be responsible for managing modifications throughout the contract lifecycle, cultivating strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance across key databases. Additionally, you will provide essential reporting to support operational activities and supervise both internal and external processes related to our sublicense agreements.
YOUR PROFILEYou possess professional experience in digital media or publishing and have a passion for books and entertainment. You are a proactive problem solver with exceptional operational, organizational, and analytical capabilities. Your communication skills, both written and verbal, are confident and engaging. You are detail-oriented and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee the contract execution workflow, securely store fully executed agreements, and collaborate with Legal and Content Acquisition teams as a subject matter expert on deal implementation.
- Ensure data accuracy and adherence to standards while acting as a gatekeeper for operational processes.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external business partners, adhering to tight deadlines.
- Work closely with various teams, including Legal, Business Affairs, Finance, and Metadata, to onboard new partners, enter terms into our contract database, update internal trackers, and initiate necessary contractually required actions.
- Continuously assess existing processes and contribute to cross-functional improvements and redesigns, particularly in contract discovery and filing.
- Coordinate updates at the deal, payment, and title levels across relevant systems and teams, conducting monthly and quarterly reviews to ensure consistent and accurate implementation of changes.
- Generate and review reports for business and content operations, focusing on rights management and key financial terms.
- Drive the validation and maintenance of contract data, ensuring deal terms and royalty data are accurate at period close.
- Plan and execute data cleanup initiatives, conduct research, and address inquiries and trouble tickets.
- Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to define requirements for system enhancements and ensure operational readiness for successful launches.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- B.A. or equivalent degree.
- 2+ years of experience in IP licensing, contract processing, and rights management.
- Proven data entry experience with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience in planning and executing data cleanup projects.
- Familiarity with database concepts and best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Business fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Functional proficiency in Outlook, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with a global group of stakeholders to deliver results on time.
- Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Business fluency in German, both written and spoken.
- Highly organized with a focus on impact.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and SQL.
- Proficiency in French, Italian, or Spanish is a plus.
- An entrepreneurial mindset.
- A confident communicator with established written and verbal business communication skills.
- A self-starter with excellent organizational and analytical skills, keen on process improvements.
