We are a prominent organization in the creation of sustainable and renewable products derived from biomass. Our mission is to foster a more eco-friendly future by developing products that aid in keeping fossil carbon underground. Alongside renewable ethanol, we also produce essential food and feed products. Currently, we are engaged in various initiatives aimed at generating bio-based chemicals from ethanol. Südzucker operates production sites across multiple countries, employing a diverse workforce globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently manage the operation of the process plant and associated facilities
  • Record production metrics, resource consumption, plant parameters, as well as quality and environmental data
  • Plan, implement, oversee, and document operational processes
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and supplies, and coordinate procurement activities
  • Organize and schedule forthcoming maintenance tasks
  • Collaborate with suppliers on-site
  • Handle administrative duties and maintenance assignments
  • Be available for on-call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays
  • Engage with truck drivers on-site, providing necessary guidance and documentation
  • Ensure compliant handling of materials, being authorized as a filler in accordance with regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety within the work environment
  • Conduct ongoing maintenance and repair tasks

Candidate Profile

  • Completed vocational training in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Plant Engineering
  • Fluent in English; basic knowledge of Italian is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), with the ability to modify control systems and perform programming tasks
  • Authorization for 20 kV systems is desirable
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, and repairing production facilities
  • Detail-oriented work ethic, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to persuade others with your ideas and solutions
  • Experience in occupational safety and handling hazardous materials is advantageous
