Sr. Operations Coordinator Customs Brokerage Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Customs follows pre-agreed processes between customer, operations, and Customs.
- Ensure Customs entries comply with all laws and AEO requirements.
- Resolve Customs-related issues.
- Develop relationships with local Customs.
- Attend Customs-related meetings and keep the local organization informed.
- Lead improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Perform data integrity checks and ensure compliance with standards.
- Support local onboarding of new business or new agreed processes.
- Create, maintain, and validate client work instructions and SOP documents.
- Ensure all KPIs meet customer requirements.
- Ensure all teams meet customer and BDP internal deadlines.
- Periodically review and improve process flow and document process flow.
- Ensure billing is accurate and timely.
- Monitor that all required data is updated on internal or client systems (as per procedures).
- Produce reports as required by clients and/or internal teams.
Your Profile
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with additional qualifications in supply chain management helpful.
- Experience of minimum 3 years in a leadership role in Customs.
- Knowledge and experience of freight forwarding operations.
- Working knowledge of operations procedures in the country.
- Knowledge of the system 'CM ZABIS - BluJay/e2Open advantageous.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
- Language: German and English, both fluent.
