Reporting To: Childcare Director
Role Overview: The Assistant Teacher plays a vital role in fostering a nurturing environment that encourages holistic development in children. Collaborating with lead educators, this position aims to enhance parental engagement and support the learning journey of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating a supportive learning atmosphere that nurtures physical, social-emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Participate in developmental assessments for each child, analyze health documentation, and track growth metrics.
- Contribute to the establishment of a child-focused environment through tailored activities and group interactions.
- Collaborate in crafting weekly educational plans that align with the program's objectives.
- Aid in structuring daily schedules based on the educational coordinator's monthly themes.
- Support the administration of developmental screenings to evaluate children's progress.
- Review and discuss children's health records with social service personnel to formulate personalized service strategies.
- Observe and document children's behavior to create comprehensive assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of individual child development.
- Engage in home visits to provide guidance to parents regarding their children's growth and behavior.
- Facilitate discussions with parents to review their children's progress and encourage their involvement in educational activities.

Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or a BA Degree with 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education.
