Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven sales professional to join our expanding team as an Area Sales Manager for the East of Germany territory. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing specialty or complex accounts, driving the sales of Norit products, and generating and achieving all sales and profit metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sales territory around East of Germany and sell Norit products to generate target levels of revenue, volume, margins, and days outstanding from the customer base. Develop volume and revenue forecasts, sales plans, and strategies for achieving desired results.
  • Drive both current and future value for Norit by building a shared understanding of individual customer and overall portfolio profitability, focusing on where Norit can differentiate itself at the interface with the customer.
  • Effectively communicate and negotiate complex sales contracts with customers. Educate customers on new products and product enhancements, articulating and presenting product features and benefits.
  • Identify new market opportunities and target builds; seek out competitive information. Establish and maintain processes that ensure accurate budget and forecast information for the business.
  • Lead Norit's efforts to establish levels of excellence in sales and distributor management and customer service.
  • Provide leadership that assists management in setting strategic initiatives and programs to achieve corporate strategies. May provide technical guidance and leadership to other representatives in the area.
  • Consistent use of CRM tools, maintaining an up-to-date Sales Funnel utilizing sales strategies and negotiation preparation documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a field of science.
  • Previous experience with activated carbon, filtration and purification technologies, food additives, or water treatment or working for a distributor is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in sales.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Results-driven and business-savvy professional who is able to recognize new business opportunities.
